MADISON – Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG), a statewide, bipartisan, non-profit organization of professional women in government service, is pleased to announce the appointment of five new members to the 2017-2018 Board of Directors as well as the board’s new leadership team.
WWIG is pleased to announce these new board members:
“Our organization is very excited to welcome these talented women to the WWIG Board of Directors,” WWIG President Anne Sappenfield said. “These new members are bringing with them years of experience in government that will contribute to the continued successes of WWIG as we move forward in our efforts to empower women to pursue careers in public service.”
WWIG is also pleased to announce its new leadership for this year’s Board of Directors: President Anne Sappenfield, Legislative Audit Bureau; Vice President Deb Erwin, Xcel Energy; Treasurer Joylynn Gilles, Wisconsin Center for Manufacturing and Productivity; and Secretary Rebecca Ballweg, WI Department of Justice.
Returning Wisconsin Women in Government board members are: Past President Kara Kratowicz, City of Madison; Carolyn Clow, Dane County; Monique Currie, WI Technical College System; Lindsay Fedler, WI Department of Financial Institutions; Brooke Froelich, Wisconsin Legislature; Sabrina Gentile, WI Department of Justice; Gail Good, WI Department of Natural Resources; Christine Lilek, WI Department of Health Services; Teresa Leuth, WI Department of Health Services;; Margaret McInnis, Michael Best Strategies; Willa Panzer, 115th Fighter at the WI Air National Guard; Kim Shaul, National Guardian; Myranda Tanck, Platform Communications; Sen. LaTonya Johnson, Wisconsin Legislature; Rep. Nancy VanderMeer, Wisconsin Legislature.

Wisconsin Women in Government was founded in 1987 to celebrate and support the talented women who choose a career in government service. Over the past 30 years, WWIG has awarded over $1.2 million in scholarships to women pursuing careers in government service, including undergraduate scholarships, Badger Girls State, networking opportunities for professional women and other programs.
